Despite of of my hectic schedule in college especially in studying all my lessons, I also joined some extra curricular activities and clubs. I somehow realized that joining such organizations in college takes real guts and commitment in being an active member of it. Since the first day of my orientation in school, I discovered this club called “Director’s Guild” which expresses the skills of students in everything about Photography, Videography, Live Coverage and Media Arts. I was indulged to hear more of their club since I had developed my passion in media art since high school. I wanted to be a Film Director and take up Bachelor in Arts in La Salle Benilde although my mother wouldn’t allow me. Since I can’t take up that kind of course, I thought of my opportunity in joining in this club in order to improve my talent in film production. I found out that I wasn’t the only one who would love to join but also some of my block mates too. Before entering the club, we filled up application forms and showed some photos of our very own photography. We also encountered such interviews in which I could describe it more likely an initiation. It was one kind of an experience though and it should be kept as a club’s secret haha

I even jumped for joy like kid when the club’s P.I.O texted me that passed their requirements and now became an official Director’s Guild Member.

As a member of the club, we were called as DG Monsters and were given uniform shirts to show that we belonged in their club and can do duties as a photographer in some events of the school. The biggest event was our Intramurals 2014, because it was a one week event of sports and programs. All of the officers prepared assignments and tasks for our one week schedule. It was very tiring though because I had to wake up very early since 7:30 am was our call time for meeting every day for our duties.

Aside from our busy week of being as photographers and controls, I managed to make new friends in the club. I became close friends to the officers and became their apprentice. I learned new things from them especially in dealing with cameras and teamwork. I am even hopeful that they would pursue their plan about the club’s Team Building.
During the 3rd Quarter of school was like a week of torture for me because I only have two months to improved my grades but I think it didn’t turned out so good. I was so busy with all the projects and requirements with some other minor subjects that are totally feeling major. You know what I mean? So I was so stressed out, I never had more time to study properly. It really made me feel physically (for too much paper works and assignments), emotionally (for being sad about my low score on Calculus) and mentally (for seeing that I ranked down on our honor’s list) tired. Aside from those experiences of hell week, I’m still proud of my music video since I was the Director and Editor for our Computer project. It only took us a day to shoot and a week to edit. Here’s our output but don’t expect too much. Enjoy :)
